Together, you work with DSV’s global data centre infrastructure – from cabling to installation and replacements as well as servicing of equipment.
As a Data Centre Specialist, your goal and that of your colleagues is: To take care of the day-to-day operations in the data centre and ensure stability and performance. Specifically, you must help prepare the infrastructure for the installation of new IT equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
You ensure delivery on time, so that we always have a stable environment with high uptime, which means that we are able to act within a short time frame.
You will be part of a 24/7 on-call duty 1 week at a time. Place of work is Hedehusene, close to public transport. Our primary data centre location is in Greater Copenhagen and transport between locations is therefore required. A valid driver’s license and a car are therefore necessary. In addition, a clean criminal record is required.
Through your previous jobs, you have built up solid knowledge of IT-electrical installations including pds and fiber cabling, and you have several years of experience with ITIL and change management processes. You are quality conscious and thorough and know that even minor breakdowns can cost the company dearly. Therefore, you naturally take responsibility for service quality, finalising tasks and user experience.
It comes naturally to you to take initiative, and with your structured way of working, you also ensure that you follow through on your tasks. This also means that you are used to documenting your tasks and understand the importance of this.
You like being part of a team where you and your colleagues openly share knowledge and experience. You actively contribute to a positive and effective team environment by sharing information, actively participating in team meetings and engaging yourself in the team’s work.
Finally, you must be able to speak and write English.
