CHIEF METEOROLOGIST MARK FINAN SHOWS US WHEN WE COULD SEE MORE SHOWERS. WE’RE GOING TO SEE MORE RAIN TOMORROW. THIS IS THE WAY IT LOOKS FROM LIVECOPTER3 RIGHT NOW. AS YOU CAN SEE, BLUE SKY, A FEW CLOUDS AND YOU CAN ALSO CATCH PART OF FOLSOM LAKE RIGHT THERE. THE LAKE IS DOING JUST FINE FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. IT WOULD BE NICE IF WE HAD MORE SNOW. RIGHT NOW THE SNOWPACK STANDS SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 50 AND 60% OF AVERAGE. WE’VE HAD SOME NICE RAIN HERE AND THERE, BUT IT WOULD BE SURE NICE TO GET A LOT MORE SNOW. AND TOMORROW REALLY ISN’T GOING TO BE A BIG SNOW MAKER. LET ME SHOW YOU HOW WE’RE DOING RIGHT NOW. 61 DEGREES IN SACRAMENTO WITH SUN AND CLOUDS. TEMPERATURES WILL STAY PRETTY MILD THROUGHOUT THE EVENING. WE’LL STAY PARTLY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH INCREASING CLOUDS AND TEMPERATURES WILL STAY IN THE 50S. YOU CAN SEE THE CLOUDS JUST KIND OF DISSOLVING THAT WE HAD THAT WERE SOMEWHAT THICK IN THE VALLEY. THE FOOTHILLS AND SIERRA. WE’RE SEEING A GOOD AMOUNT OF SUNSHINE DURING THE DAY, BUT JUST OFF THE COAST, WELL, THAT’S OUR NEXT CHANCE OF RAIN. AS I SAID, THIS ISN’T ANYTHING ALL THAT BIG. WE’RE NOT GOING TO SEE THE DOWNPOURS THAT WE SAW YESTERDAY MORNING. THAT BROUGHT SOME OCCASIONAL STREET FLOODING HERE AND THERE. THIS WON’T BE ANYTHING LIKE THAT, BUT IT WILL BE WET FOR THE MORNING COMMUTE. SO THIS IS 11:00 TONIGHT. BY THEN THERE MIGHT BE SOME RAIN IN LAKE COUNTY, ALTHOUGH THIS MIGHT BE SLIGHTLY ON THE FAST SIDE, BUT WE WILL BE DRY IN THE VALLEY. THE FOOTHILLS AND SIERRA THROUGHOUT THE EVENING HOURS. TONIGHT DURING THE OVERNIGHT THE RAIN STARTS. THIS IS 5:00 IN THE MORNING. WE HAVE RAIN IN THE VALLEY, SNOW IN THE SIERRA. THE SNOW LEVEL WILL BE BETWEEN ABOUT 5000 506,000FT. THERE WILL BE CHAIN CONTROLS UP ON 80, 50 AND 88. EARLY TOMORROW MORNING. SO THAT’S 5:00 IN THE MORNING. A COUPLE OF HOURS LATER AT 9:00, WE STILL HAVE SOME RAIN. SO WE’VE GONE THROUGH THE MORNING COMMUTE WITH A WET COMMUTE. YOU KNOW WHAT THAT DOES FOR THE MORNING COMMUTE JUST KIND OF SLOWS YOU DOWN AND WE’RE STILL GETTING SNOW IN THE SIERRA. WE’RE EXPECTING 3 TO 6IN OF SNOW, BUT BY THE TIME WE GET INTO THE AFTERNOON, MOST OF THAT GOES AWAY. NOW WITH THIS SORT OF CLOUD COVER AROUND, I WOULDN’T BE SURPRISED IF THE WEST SLOPE STAYS KIND OF DRIZZLY AND DAMP, EVEN THOUGH IT WON’T BE STEADILY RAINING. IT’S NOT NECESSARILY GOING TO CLEAR OUT UNTIL WE GET INTO THE DAY ON THURSDAY. THIS IS THURSDAY MORNING. WE’LL WAKE UP TO PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES AND SOME FOG, BUT OTHERWISE THURSDAY IS GOING TO BE A BEAUTIFUL DAY TO BE OUTSIDE. TEMPERATURES. GETTING BACK INTO THE 60S WITH SOME SUN. SO TOMORROW WE WILL SEE RAIN IN QUINCY. WE’LL KIND OF SEE A RAIN SNOW MIX AROUND LAKE LEVEL AROUND TAHOE AND TRUCKEE. POLLOCK PINES ALL RAIN WITH A HIGH OF 46. IN THE FOOTHILLS. WE’LL SEE. MAYBE A THIRD, MAYBE AS MUCH AS A HALF AN INCH OF RAIN. TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE 50S. BEST RAIN WILL BE IN THE MORNING. IT’LL TAPER OFF IN THE AFTERNOON. ALONG THE COAST, LAKEPORT WILL SEE RAIN. MAYBE AS EARLY AS MIDNIGHT. IT’LL TAPER OFF RATHER QUICKLY TOMORROW. NAPA TOMORROW. WE’LL SEE A HIGH OF 56. AND FOR THE VALLEY, EXPECT MORNING RAIN TAPERING IN THE AFTERNOON WITH HIGHS IN THE MID TO UPPER 50S AND THE TIMING WILL BE THE SAME AROUND SACRAMENTO AND ELK GROVE AND YUBA CITY, WHERE WE HAVE RAIN FOR THE MORNING COMMUTE. THE EVENING COMMUTE. THE AFTERNOON COMMUTE WILL BE DRY AND PICKING UP. KIDS FROM SCHOOL WILL ALSO BE DRY AND THEN WE’RE DRY THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY HAS SOME CLOUDS IN THE AREA WITH RAIN JUST OFF TO OUR NORTH AND LOOK AT SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY. TEMPERATURES IN THE 60S WITH
