WHAT DO YOU SAY? DANIEL HEADED OUR WAY. NOW YOUR WLKY Y WEATHER WITH METEOROLOGIST DANIEL JOHNSON. WHAT DO I SAY? I SAY BRING ON THE SNOW. LAUREN, WE WERE JUST TALKING AT COMMERCIAL. SHE’S NOT A SNOW FAN. JUST THROWING YOU UNDER THE BUS. THERE. THAT’S OKAY. THERE’S A LOT OF NON SNOW LOVERS OUT THERE. AND THERE ARE SNOW LOVERS OUT THERE THAT ARE VERY UPSET THAT WE HAVEN’T HAD MUCH IN THE WAY OF SNOW. SO FAR THIS YEAR, OR THE SEASON PERIOD. SO I DO HAVE SOME GOOD NEWS FOR SNOW LOVERS. WE’RE ENTERING A MORE ACTIVE PATTERN AND A COLDER PATTERN, SO WE’LL START TO SEE MORE SNOW CHANCES. NO GUARANTEES, BUT WE’RE GOING TO START TO SEE SNOW CHANCES COMING UP HERE IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS. AT LEAST RIGHT NOW IT’S QUIET. IT’S CLOUDY THOUGH. WE’RE STARTING TO SEE SOME CLEARING TO THE WEST AND WE ARE EXPECTING TO SEE SOME CLEARING OVERNIGHT AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE REST OF TONIGHT. I SHOULD SAY 41 WAS TODAY’S HIGH TEMPERATURE, SO RIGHT AROUND WHERE WE SHOULD BE THIS TIME OF YEAR. HEY, WE DID HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF SNOW THIS MORNING. IF YOU WERE UP EARLY AGAIN ALL THE SNOW WE’VE HAD SO FAR REALLY ISN’T STICKING. IT WAS JUST A COUPLE OF FLURRIES OUT THERE AND IT DID LEAD TO A TRACE OF SOME SNOW TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE AREA THIS EVENING IN THE MID AND UPPER 30S. IT’S A COLD ONE. WE ARE EXPECTING A LOT OF US ONCE WE START TO CLEAR OUT, TO DROP DOWN INTO THE LOW 30S, THE WINDS AT THIS HOUR CALM AND THAT WILL BE THE CASE THROUGH TONIGHT. AND MOST OF TOMORROW. THE WINDS WILL BEGIN TO PICK UP A LITTLE BIT TOMORROW AFTERNOON, AND THEN THEY’RE REALLY GOING TO PICK UP ON TUESDAY. THE WINDS WILL BE HOWLING OUT OF THE SOUTHWEST AS A STORM SYSTEM ROLLS IN. NOT JUST BRINGING US WINDS, BUT ALSO SOME HEAVY RAIN STARTING TOMORROW NIGHT AND MOST OF THE DAY TUESDAY. THAT JUST GIVES US A GENERAL IDEA OF THE TYPE OF WIND GUSTS WE’RE EXPECTING. MOST OF US WILL SEE GUSTS ABOVE 30. THERE COULD BE A FEW GUSTS ABOVE 40 BECAUSE OF THIS STORM SYSTEM. RIGHT NOW ACROSS THE ROCKY STATES DOESN’T LOOK IMPRESSIVE, RIGHT? THERE’S NOT MUCH MOISTURE WITH IT RIGHT NOW, BUT IT’S GOING TO EXPLODE AS IT HEADS OFF TO THE EAST AND IT IS HEADING OUR DIRECTION AND THAT WILL BRING US THE RAIN TOMORROW NIGHT INTO TUESDAY. FOR THE SNOW LOVERS, WE’RE JUST TOO WARM FOR THIS STORM. HIGH PRESSURE AND CONTROL TO OUR SOUTH. THAT’S GOING TO HELP CLEAR US OUT A LITTLE BIT TONIGHT. NOT A LOT. PARTIAL CLEARING THAT WILL HELP US DROP, THOUGH, TO 30 DEGREES. SO A COLD ONE TOMORROW, 47. SO A LITTLE BIT MILDER THAN TODAY. PARTLY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY IF WE SEE SOME SUN WE’LL SEE IT MOST LIKELY IN THE MORNING. AND THEN THOSE CLOUDS WILL THICKEN AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE DAY. HERE’S YOUR 12 HOUR FORECAST TOMORROW. A LITTLE BIT OF SUNSHINE, EARLY COLD TO START AND THEN TEMPERATURES REBOUNDING INTO THE MID TO MAYBE EVEN UPPER 40S TOMORROW. THERE’S A LOOK AT THAT CLEARING AT TIMES TONIGHT. THEN THOSE CLOUDS BEGIN TO BUILD BACK INTO THE REGION. TOMORROW. THE RAIN APPROACHES. BY THE MIDNIGHT HOUR TOMORROW NIGHT. AND THEN IT JUST OVERSPREAD THE ENTIRE AREA AFTER MIDNIGHT. SOME HEAVY RAIN, LIKELY AT TIMES, MAYBE A RUMBLE OF THUNDER. WE’RE NOT EXPECTING MUCH OF THAT. AND THEN HERE WE ARE. NOON TUESDAY, STILL RAINING AND THEN SOME COLD AIR WRAPS AROUND AND IT DOES CHANGE OVER TO A PERIOD OF SNOW SHOWERS. TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING. WE’RE DRY THURSDAY. THE CALM BEFORE THE NEXT STORM FRIDAY, WHICH WE INITIALLY THOUGHT WOULD BRING US RAIN OR SNOW. RIGHT NOW IT APPEARS MOST LIKELY RAIN AND THEN REALLY COLD NEXT WEEKEND. LOW 30S, BUT REALLY IT’S JUST A LITTLE SPRINKLING HERE AND THERE. NOTHING REALLY GOING TO LAY IN TERMS OF SNO
