THIS SPRING, BUT I THINK WE’RE GETTING SOME. SPRING IS INCLUDED. YES, IT’S GOING TO BE NOISY, RIGHT? YEAH. WE’RE NOT IN THE WORST SPOT, BUT WE’RE DEFINITELY IN THAT AREA. YEAH. SO WE CAN LOOK FORWARD TO THAT. ALTHOUGH WE HAVE A KIND OF PREVIEW OF SPRING THIS WEEK, WE DO. I WOULD LOVE SOME MORE 60S. I’M, I’M HOPING WE CAN PUSH IT TO 70 ON FRIDAY. WHOA. IT WE’RE TEETERING ON THE EDGE. WE ARE. THAT DOES NOT BODE WELL FOR THOSE FOLKS WHO ARE HOPING FOR SNOW TO END JANUARY. IT IS NOT WORKING OUT WELL FOR EVERYBODY. YOU CAN SEE THE SHOWERS OUT THERE LIFTING NORTH AND MOVING OUT OF TEXAS. HEAVIER RAINS ALSO WILL BE FOCUSING DOWN IN THE DEEP SOUTH OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS. SO THAT’S THE CONCERN FOR SOME FLOODING. YOU SEE ALL THOSE AREAS IN GREEN. THAT’S WHERE WE’VE GOT OUR FLOOD WATCHES UP NOW FOR THE PIEDMONT TRIAD. IT’S BEEN VERY SHOWERY, BUT NOT A LOT OF RAIN ON THE GROUND. SO IT LOOKS LIKE WE’VE GOT THOSE HEAVY CLOUDS WITH US. NOT A LOT HAPPENING TO BRING IN GOOD, STEADY RAINFALL YET, BUT IT IS SPOTTY. WE’VE GOT SOME SPOTS OUT THERE, 47 DEGREES IN WINSTON-SALEM AS WELL AS GREENSBORO, DEALING WITH SOME OF THE SHOWERS, THOUGH ON THE GROUND YOU CAN SEE OUR 920 FOOT SCAN. SO WE CAN REALLY SEE IN THE LOWER LEVELS HERE. AND LOOKING AT JUST A COUPLE OF SPOTS, SEEING THOSE LIGHT SHOWERS AT THIS HOUR. OTHERWISE WE MIGHT GET A LITTLE TRACE OR SOME SPRINKLES ON YOUR WINDSHIELD. LIKELY NOT ENOUGH TO GET GET YOUR WINDSHIELD WIPERS GOING JUST YET. YOUR RAIN CHANCES CONTINUE TO RISE THROUGHOUT THE DAY AT ABOUT 40% FOR YOU TO 30% IN THE FOOTHILLS AND THE MOUNTAINS, TOO. WE’LL HAVE BETTER RAIN CHANCES AS WE GET YOU INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS, THOUGH, WE’LL BEGIN TO REALLY PUMP UP THOSE RAIN CHANCES FOR YOU THROUGH THE DAY TOMORROW. SO WATCHING FOR THAT. TEMPERATURES AT 47 DEGREES AND SPOTTY SHOWER ACTION. HERE’S WHAT’S HELPING DRIVE THE WEATHER OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. YOU SEE THAT BIG UPPER LOW. THE WIND PATTERN HERE SHOWING YOU WHERE WE HAVE THE HEAVIER WINDS RIGHT NOW DOWN OVER CALIFORNIA AND PARTS OF MEXICO. AS THIS DIVES IN FROM THE PACIFIC, THIS IS REALLY GOING TO ENCOURAGE MORE ENERGY TO LIFT RIGHT OVER TEXAS. AND FOLKS IN THE DEEP SOUTH OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS FOR US WILL BE ALSO WATCHING THAT LOW LEVEL JET STREAM WIND SPEED. IT IS REALLY FOCUSING CURRENTLY OVER ARKANSAS HOT SPRINGS AS WELL AS DALLAS AND FOLKS IN MISSISSIPPI. AND THAT’S RIGHT ABOUT WHERE WE’RE GOING TO SEE SOME OF THE HEAVIER RAINS THROUGH THE DAY TOMORROW. TWO SHOWERS, FOLLOWED BY THE CLOUD COVER OR REALLY THE CLOUD COVER COMES FIRST, RIGHT? AND WE DON’T GET ALL THAT RAIN ON THE GROUND YET. BUT YOU CAN SEE THE ENHANCED SATELLITE SHOWING GOOD CLOUD COVER ACROSS MOST OF THE SOUTHEAST, PUMPING UP OUR MOISTURE FROM THE GULF. AND WE CONTINUE THAT TREND. NOW, THIS IS HELPFUL FOR OUR DROUGHT CONCERNS. WE REALLY STARTED TO SEE THAT IMPROVE WITHIN DECEMBER BECAUSE DECEMBER WE HAD ABOUT SEVEN INCHES OF RAINFALL, THE SECOND WETTEST DECEMBER ON RECORD. AND NOW WE CONTINUED THAT TREND GOING INTO JANUARY. WE’LL WELL ABOVE NORMAL FOR RAINFALL TOTALS. RAINFALL FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS COULD COME UP TO A QUARTER OF AN INCH, AND THEN SLOWLY BY THURSDAY AFTERNOON, HOPEFULLY HALF AN INCH TO MOORE, WHERE WE DO GET A THUNDERSTORM OR TWO. YOUR AFTERNOON THOUGH TODAY SCATTERED TO SPOTTY AND WE’VE GOT UPPER 40S. IT LOOKS AS IF THAT COLD FRONT AND WARM FRONT COMBINATION NOT LIFTING OUR WAY THROUGH UNTIL TOMORROW. MIDDAY UPPER 40S TO LOW 50S AS WE GET YOU THROUGH THE DAY ON YOUR WEDNESDAY MAY EVEN HAPPEN IN THE MORNING HOURS. WE ARE TRACKING THAT FRONT AND AS IT BEGINS LIFTING IN, WE’LL NOTICE TEMPERATURES REALLY JUMPING UP AND ALSO SOUTHERLY FLOW THAT IS STRONGER FOR US TOMORROW. SO BREEZY CONDITIONS TO GUSTY WEATHER AS THE RAIN SHOWERS COME IN AND BY THURSDAY WE MAY EVEN SEE THOSE THUNDERSTORMS STARTING TO BECOME MORE ACTIVE. TOO. SO WE’LL BE LOOKING FOR ANY CHANCES FOR SEVERE LOOKS MINIMAL FOR US RIGHT NOW, JUST A THUNDERSTORM THAT’S GENERALLY GOING TO MOVE IN. YOU CAN SEE RAINFALL TOTALS A QUARTER OF AN INCH TO ABOUT A HALF AN INCH. AND THEN COMING UP ALL THE WAY TO ABOUT AN INCH OR MORE. AS WE GET YOU INTO YOUR FRIDAY AND SATURDAY. SO SOME HEAVY POCKETS OF RAIN MAY ALSO MOVE THROUGH THE AREA. LOW TEMPERATURE TREND. YOU CAN SEE IT HERE. GETTING BETTER TO UNTIL WE HIT TUESDAY. THAT’S THE NEXT COOL DOWN THAT COMES OUR WAY. OTHERWISE WE STAY ABOVE NORMAL FOR WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND INTO SATURDAY WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE 60S, WE’LL BE BACK WITH MUCH MORE AFTE
